Dmitriy Gololobov
Director, P&IQ
A co-founder and Director of DIMAR CONSULTING GROUP, Dmitriy has extensive P&I and Defence experience across all areas of claims, having started his career in the P&I industry in 1992.
He combines a rare mix of technical, surveying, and legal expertise, holding a degree from Odessa Polytechnics Institute (1991), accreditation in Non-Liquid Cargo Surveys from the International Institute of Marine Surveyors (2001), and a law degree from Odessa Marine University (2009). After joining a Ukrainian P&I Correspondent company in 1995, Dmitriy handled a broad range of claims, from oil pollution, collisions and groundings to property damage, personal injury/death cases and stowaways.
He became Deputy Director in 2010 and has since strengthened his expertise by completing several modules of the P&I Qualification Program (The Shipping Business; P&I Insurance: History, Operation and Practice; and Underwriting, Loss Prevention and Claims Handling), while continuing to pursue the remaining ones. Despite the challenges and tragic events of the war years in Ukraine, Dmitriy found the strength to move forward and, in the summer of 2025, together with partners, established DIMAR CONSULTING GROUP which is rapidly gaining reputation as an acclaimed P&I Correspondent and trusted marine consulting firm. Today, Dmitriy continues to handle complex P&I matters, oversees surveyor activities, and provides strategic leadership to the company, ensuring its steady growth and reputation as a trusted partner in the maritime industry.
